Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data Baris Kadife processes when you use this website or contact us, why, and which rights you have. The website itself collects little: it has no accounts, its request form sends nothing to us, and your Selection stays in your browser.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by Baris Kadife, a fabric manufacturer in Istanbul, Türkiye. Our address, phone number and WhatsApp number are in our legal notice. Contact us there with any question about your data.

Enquiries by request form, chat or phone

The request form on this website does not send anything to us. When you press “Send on WhatsApp”, the form puts your details, your Selection and your message into a WhatsApp link and opens it. WhatsApp then shows the message, ready to send: nothing reaches us until you send it yourself. The send button of your Selection works the same way. The link and its text are handled by WhatsApp under its own policies.

When you contact us by chat or phone, we receive what you send us: for example your name or profile name, your phone number or username, your company, your destination country, the fabrics and colour codes you ask about and your messages. We use these details to answer your enquiry and to follow up on it, for example to send prices, samples and order details.

WhatsApp, Telegram and IMO

The chat buttons on this website open WhatsApp and, where we offer them, Telegram or IMO. These apps are run by other companies. When you use them, their providers process your messages and account data under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.

Your Selection

When you add fabrics or colours to your Selection, their codes are saved in your browser's local storage (under the name “bk.selection”), so the list is still there when you come back. The list stays on your device: it is not sent to us unless you send it in a chat message. You can remove items on the Selection page, or delete this website's data in your browser settings.

Hosting and server logs

The pages of this website are prepared in advance and delivered by Cloudflare, which also resizes and delivers the images. To deliver them, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time and your browser's identification (user agent), and keeps standard server logs to run and protect the service. Cloudflare operates a worldwide network, so this data may be processed outside Türkiye.

The fonts are served from this website itself. When you open the website's main address without a language, your browser's language setting is used to show you a language version; it is not stored.

Analytics and advertising measurement

When it is switched on for this website, Google Tag Manager is loaded. Through it, we may use Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta measurement tools to understand how visitors use the website and to measure our advertising. These tools can set cookies or similar identifiers and process data such as your IP address, device and browser information and the pages you view. Google and Meta process this data under their own privacy policies.

When you tap a contact link, for example WhatsApp or phone, the website records an event with the channel, the part of the page, the fabric code or market where relevant, the page language and the page address. These events are passed on only to the tools above, when they are loaded.

Your rights

You can ask us which personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or erase it. Contact us by phone or WhatsApp; you will find both in our legal notice.

Depending on where you live, the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may apply and may give you further rights.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the website changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
